Leo. The Best. 3x.
24 years old. An ego that is pushed far beneath an incomparable will to win. 5 feet, 6 inches of skill and athleticism. The players, the media, and the coaches have spoken. Lionel Messi is, for the third time, the FIFA World Player of the Year. With so many years left in his career, it’s mystifying. With regards to the award, he sits next to the likes of Cruyff, Zidane, and Ronaldo. But as we’ve noticed, his ego doesn’t make him care about being the best. He cares about winning with Argentina and Barcelona, and providing joy to the fans. Just keep doing what you’re doing, Leo, and we’ll be just fine.
